Jill James focuses
her practice in employment law, civil litigation, and business
law. This includes assisting and advising clients through employment
investigations, negotiating and drafting contracts, updating employee
handbooks or company policies, and managing employment litigation,
including complaints filed with the EEOC, Minnesota Department
of Human Rights, or in district court.
Ms. James also enjoys assisting new businesses in a variety of areas,
including entity formation, collection, trademarks and general business
transactions, to name a few.
Jill believes that to succeed in business, like life, you
must work hard, use common sense, and maintain balance. She
is happily
married with two children, Paige and Calvin, and enjoys
spending quality time with her family.

Ms. James is an avid lifelong athlete.
Recent accomplishments: Assistant coach for St. Olaf College’s 2004-2005
Fastpitch team.
Ms. James regularly participates in recreational hockey, running and biking.
Ms. James is also a music enthusiast, sings, plays piano and oboe. She has
experience in live and recorded performances in a variety of music genres.
On occasion Ms. James has had the pleasure of assisting local artists in music
contract negotiations.
