James
Wills is one of the founding partners of the law firm of Kalina,
Wills,
Gisvold & Clark, P.L.L.P. For over thirty
years he has practiced extensively in the areas of transportation,
taxation, corporate law and insurance law. Prior to founding KWGC,
Jim worked in the management and as general counsel for two major
trucking companies.
Jim believes that it is critical to understand the client’s
business in order to better serve the client's interests. He
currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota
Trucking Association,
Truckload Carrier Association and the Brainerd Baxter Lodging
Association. In the past he has served on the Board of Directors
for the Brainerd Lakes Area Chambers of Commerce and the Wisconsin
Motor Carrier Association. In addition he has authored many articles
and been a frequent speaker on various transportation and/or
business related topics for the American Trucking Association,
the Minnesota Trucking Association, the Truckload Carriers Association,
the Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association, the Independent Contractor
Division of the Truckload Carriers Association, and the Minnesota
Builders Association.
Jim has published frequently in professional publications on
transportation and taxation topics. HIs unique mix of skills
are invaluable to his clients, many of whom
have been with
him for decades.
