Transportation Law

One of our firm’s foundation practice areas is transportation law. Three of our founding partners began, and continue, their careers representing transportation concerns, primarily trucking companies, around the United States and Canada. All of the firm’s attorneys are familiar with the issues facing transportation entities or those who use transportation services. Our attorneys represent carriers, shippers, brokers, freight forwarders, and other parties.

Our attorneys focus on issues ranging from regulatory issues at the local, state and federal levels to succession planning to disputes between providers and users of transportation services. We belong to a network of attorneys throughout North America who can address transportation issues by mode (motor, air, water, pipeline or rail) or by cargo type (general freight, hazardous materials, passenger, food commodities).

The environment for the transportation service providers and those using such services changes daily. We strive not only to understand the history and importance of the transportation industry to our clients, be up to date on recent issues facing our clients and anticipate what will be important to our clients in the future.

We have been a member of the Minnesota Trucking Association since the inception of our firm, and are constantly involved with that organization.
